The plot has a Hollywood director making a musical extravaganza about California. The songs and dialog are funny, yet make their point. "Don't call us Indians, we are not all the same/Don't call us Indians, we do not know that name/We're Chumash and we're Yokuts, Miwok and Pomo too/Don't call us Indians, if that's alright with you." The play has lots of parts, so all kids can participate. It comes with a CD that demonstrates the songs and can be used as accompaniment. The authors swear any teacher can put on this play, and they include many production tips.
